Boarding
A Boarding Facility Built for Your Pet’s Comfort
When you board your pet at Troy Animal Clinic, you’re not dropping them off at a kennel. You’re leaving them with a veterinary team that knows how to care for animals, in a facility that was designed with their comfort and safety in mind.
Our boarding facility is one of the most modern in the Troy area. After a complete renovation, we reopened our boarding program in November 2025 with a space that is cleaner, roomier, and better equipped than ever before. We’re proud of what we built, and we think your pets will be too.
Indoor Kennels
Our indoor boarding area provides a calm, climate-controlled environment where dogs and cats can rest comfortably. Each pet has their own space with proper bedding, and we welcome you to bring items from home, including your pet’s bed, favorite toy, or their regular food, to help them feel more at ease.
Cats and dogs are housed in separate areas to keep stress levels low. Our staff checks on boarding guests regularly throughout the day, and your pet always has access to fresh water.
Outdoor Play Space
Our dogs get to stretch their legs in a dedicated outdoor area that includes both open-air space and a covered patio space. The patio has all day shade and ceiling fans, so even on warm Alabama days, there’s a comfortable spot to play and take a break. Dogs are supervised during outdoor time and receive regular exercise from our kennel staff.
Doggy Daycare
In addition to overnight boarding, Troy Animal Clinic offers doggy daycare Monday through Friday. Daycare dogs spend the day in the same supervised facility as our boarding guests, with access to indoor space and outdoor playtime. It is a practical option for owners who are at work or away during the day and want their dog cared for by a veterinary team.
Daycare is priced separately from overnight boarding. We also offer bundled Sleepover packages that combine nights of boarding with days of daycare and grooming services. Call us for current rates and availability.
Veterinary Supervision On-Site
One of the biggest differences between boarding at a veterinary clinic and boarding elsewhere is that our doctors are on the premises during clinic hours. If something comes up with your pet while they’re staying with us, we don’t have to call a vet or transport your animal anywhere. We’re already here.
This matters especially if your pet has a medical condition, takes daily medication, or is a senior animal. Our team is trained to recognize when something looks off and can respond quickly.
