Getting Answers Without the Wait

When your pet is sick or injured, the last thing you want is to wait days for answers. At Troy Animal Clinic, we have diagnostic tools in-house that allow our veterinarians to evaluate your pet and begin forming a treatment plan during the same visit, rather than sending samples off and waiting.

Our two full-time veterinarians bring a combined depth of clinical experience that allows them to interpret diagnostic findings accurately and discuss results with you the same day. This matters especially when time is a factor.

Our Diagnostic Capabilities

We offer two primary categories of in-house diagnostics:

  • Radiology and Ultrasound – Non-invasive imaging that lets us evaluate bones, joints, organs, soft tissue and even the spread of cancer without the need for exploratory surgery
  • Laboratory Testing – In-house bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and more to assess your pet’s internal health quickly

Together, these tools give our veterinarians a much clearer picture of what is going on inside your pet than a physical exam alone can provide.

When Diagnostics Are Recommended

Our vets may recommend diagnostic testing in a number of situations:

  • Before a surgical procedure, to assess anesthesia risk and overall health
  • When a pet is showing signs of illness that don’t have an obvious cause
  • To monitor a pet being treated for a chronic condition
  • As part of a senior wellness exam
  • Following a trauma or injury

If diagnostics are recommended during your visit, we will explain what we are looking for and why before proceeding. Nothing is done without your knowledge and consent.
